Date: 28th Feb – 3rd March 2022
The South Australian Branch together with members from the Victorian Branch participated in a sensational Overlander as a prelude to the recent Canberra Federal Rally. We assembled at Tailem Bend on Monday 28th February and pleasingly the drive to Tailem Bend and the ensuing two hours was the only rain we experienced on the trip to and from Canberra! Over the following four days, we travelled to Mt Gambier, for the first night, then on to Swan Hill where we met with some Victorian Branch members for the second night. The following day more Victorian Club Members joined us at the award-winning Finley Bakery (our Lunch venue!) in country Victoria and we then proceeded to Narrandera for our third night where there was a splendid dinner at the historic Murrumbidgee Hotel. The following day we drove into Canberra to participate in the National Rally.
Our return trip was over three days with the first night at Jerilderie, the second night at Horsham before finally driving into Adelaide. Every person participating in the drive to and from Canberra had a fabulous time and again our sincere thanks go to Rory Poland for his organization of the “Overlander”.
